I had a role to assessing care at level 2/3 QCF for a college then a private company, which gave me experience in all areas of care. Then, in a change of career, I moved on to manage a supported living environment for people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour, before branching out into domiciliary care for the elderly.
I’ve been a registered manager since 2013. My overall role includes the management of client care, ensuring compliance to CSSIW regulations. With my team, I’m always looking to develop and work closely with the local authority on projects which will benefit service user care. We are currently developing a Dementia Care project which supports early diagnosed service users in remaining as independent as possible for as long as possible, which has proved to be a huge success.
