Care UK
We've been helping people to live more independently for over 30 years.
Care UK’s care home business, called Residential Care Services, started life in 1982 as Anglia Secure Homes. Since then we have grown to become one of the leading providers of residential care in the UK.
Care and support for older people
We support people in residential homes, nursing homes and day clubs up and down the UK, from Bournemouth to Aberdeen. More than 7,000 people live in our 100-plus residential and nursing care homes, and we’re building more new and state-of-the-art care homes all the time.
Giving life meaning
Wherever we care for older people, at Care UK we do so with the aim of helping them to live as independently as possible and by being attentive to their individual needs. Our philosophy is to provide activity based care, giving residents every opportunity to continue with the activities and interests that they’ve always done, even doing tasks around the home so that they continue to feel useful, engaged and valued.
A person centred approach from Care UK
Our track record of providing high quality services comes from being focused on answering the unique and very specific needs of each person we care for. This ‘person centred’ approach enables us to see life through the eyes of each resident, working with them and their family to understand their personality, preferences and background so that we can create a care plan that fits around their lifestyle and aims.
Many of the people in our care homes and day clubs are living with dementia, and we’re extremely passionate about the services and support that we provide to them. We believe that our unique approach to dementia care helps each of them to enjoy their life as much as possible.
