In 1996, Entrepreneur Penny Streeter OBE and her mother Marion Hewson revolutionised the nursing agency industry by founding Ambition24hours. Prior to their arrival, nursing agencies operated solely during traditional business hours, leaving a massive gap in care for last-minute shifts. Recognising this, Penny and Marion established the first 24-hour nursing agency in the UK and ensured that nurses who accepted last-minute shift cover received increased rates of pay.

Since its inception, Ambition24hours has remained under Penny's ownership, and its team of consultants continues to work around the clock to deliver the best possible shifts to nursing professionals.
