The At Home service from Age UK Kensington & Chelsea offers a range of personally tailored packages of care and support for older people in the Kensington & Chelsea, Hammersmith & Fulham and Westminster areas.
We have also recently launched our service in the Camden area in association with Age UK Camden.
What services do we provide?
Ouexperience of providing specialist dementia services over a number of years means we understand the support needs of people with dementia. Our care team are trained and have considerable experience in providing such support. In addition to regular training, we also hold a range of specialist workshops for our staff as part of their continuous improvement covering issues such as hearing loss, sight problems, drug and alcohol problems.
What the service offers:Customer favourites include our simple toenail cutting and hairdressing services. We also offer help with long or short term needs, including a home from hospital recovery service and night-time cover. The At Home team also provides a respite service to carers caring for an older person. These breaks are fully flexible and can be tailored to suit personal needs. Our customers can also benefit from a wide network of support available from the free services that we provide as a charity including: befriending, de-cluttering, computer coaching, escorting, Information & Advice, shopping, day trips, support planning and much more.
We provide care between 8am to 10pm seven days a week including bank holidays. Some of the tasks At Home Services can help with include:
Washing, bathing and dressing
Shaving
Toe and finger nail cutting
Simple hair dressing
Meal preparation
Shopping
Cleaning
Laundry
General support
Respite care
Night cover
Packing services
Our At Home team works with you to ensure that all your support needs are identified. We take a person centred approach; this means that all the care and support we provide is tailored and delivered according to your needs.
